How the birth of a child, a passion for creativity, and a love for bricks led to AquaBrick.
After several years in fast-paced sales, I realized that this lifestyle didn't leave me the time I needed to welcome what would change my life forever—the arrival of our child.
A cabinetmaker by training, I've always had my hands in materials. Working with wood, building, creating—it's in my nature. But business had gradually pulled me away from this essential part of myself. It took the birth of my son for everything to fall back into place.
Watching him play, the realization hit me: what if I could create an object that combines my love of building, my passion for living things, and a universe that children and adults could share together?
AquaBrick was born from this question. A brick diorama, plunged into a real, living aquatic ecosystem. A unique, handmade object that tells a story — and is unlike anything else on the market.

An adventure that begins
Trade and the awakening
Years in sales at a sustained pace. Efficiency, figures, performance. But something was missing — creation, the tangible, meaning. The announcement of a birth would change everything.

The birth of his son is the trigger. Joey decides to pick up his tools again, to slow down, to create. Cabinetmaking as a philosophy of life — working with materials patiently, building something that lasts.
Bricks + water + living
The idea came to him while watching his son play with bricks. What if this miniature world were immersed in a real aquatic ecosystem? A castle, a pirate ship, a forest — at the bottom of a glass jar, surrounded by living plants. AquaBrick was born.
